As a kelpie, one important detail you should note is that the species is primarily made up of males. Females are extremely rare, and the very few who have been spotted allowed themselves to be drawn by human artists, making humans believe that kelpies turned into beautiful women and only that. A kelpie is an Irish water horse. While in the water, their upperhalf is that of a horse and the lower half is that of... Some aquatic animal. It can very from some sort of long fish tail to that which resembles a dolphin's or a shark's thick tail. It depends on the kelpie, though it always seems to keep keep the long, wiry hair of a horse tail rather than spreading out for the fin. One thing is for certain: their dark forms look absolutely terrifying if seen underwater. Water plants makes up most of their manes after long hours spent in lakes, their forms are thin yet powerful, their teeth are sharp, and their eyes glow against the murky water. Above the water, their tails turn into the backhalf of a horse, and their form all together turns to look like a normal, beautiful horse. They retain their darkly colored fur and their eyes retain their glow.

Never touch a kelpie in either equine forms or else you will be glued to them, never to let go unless the kelpie either wants you to or eats you.
