Where magic rises when thought to be dead, chaos erupts.
Now it's 2020, and it's almost as if the cities are lawless. Violence is rampant through streets, divisions clear amongst those thought to be allies. The government is overrun with corrupt officials, those genuinely trying are fighting a losing battle.
The Revolution happened in 2000 - a group of wizards and witches revealed themselves, hoping to maintain an understanding peace between the 'normal world' and theirs. Of course, that did not happen. Another group, similar in appearance but not in purpose, viewed themselves as chosen, seeking to rule over the 'normals' instead of peacefully co-existing.
The latter group put together a huge spell, blurring dimensions. As a result, many confused mythical creatures are now part of our world. Originally, there was chaos. According to the media, it has all died down, but people know that something is up. However, the magics have grown smart. In 20 years, they've successfully blended in... Well those who want to anyway. On the surface, life goes on as per normal, as if nothing has happened.
There's a division within the government known as PILOT. These guys uphold what's left of the society through brutally strong methods. Some members are more merciless than others, bringing down any possible threat with zero hesitation. They consist of both types, though the magic type is probably secretive about that part.
PILOT's main enemy is ARROW, a band of magics who still seek something akin to world domination. They're considered a huge threat due to their violent means, though little information is actually known. They've seized control of crime and whatever corrupt officials they could get their hands on pretty quickly.
Then there are those caught in the crossfire. Some are just afraid that their opinion would endanger them, some simply are drowned out by the cries of war. Either way, there's a place for everyone in the chaos.
